It's a miracle that I was even born at all.
The youngest child in a family of Holocaust survivors, I moved to the United States when I was 10.
With humble beginnings, my career began at age 16. I took successive positions over the years as a medical clinic janitor, strategic planner for a hospital, combat medic, and anesthesia tech.
It wasn't until I accepted a job as a technology manager for a small healthcare system that I discovered my calling for healthcare.
I quickly discovered the existence of a convergence of three important things.
Clinical environments, business operations, and digital infrastructure - a marriage of perfect harmony that saves the lives of millions of people.

It dawned on me that I could impact the lives of millions of people by doing something that had previously never been possible in the history of healthcare. My passion was born.

Digital healthcare transformation.
Working to improve patient outcomes using technology, I went on to serve in the C-Suite of Cleveland Clinic, NYC Health & Hospitals, Texas Health Resources, and University Hospitals - impacting healthcare in a unique way while having a blast.

Well versed in the various dimensions of healthcare, I served the supplier and provider side where I cultivated unique perspectives. From CEO for the consulting firm Divurgent, to the Global CDO for Tech Mahindra Health & Life Sciences, to a CIO of the Advisory Board - I've always held dynamic roles in the implementation of infrastructure to improve the quality of healthcare.
A nod to my humble beginnings, I've concurrently served 15 years as a U.S. Army combat engineer officer and combat medic. Still on a mission to improve the world of healthcare, I currently serve on the Boards of Summa Health, Mary Crowley Cancer Research, and others.
I do a fair amount of speaking, writing and podcasting. I authored healthcare bestsellers including “Voices of Innovation” and “Healthcare Digital Transformation”. Currently, I'm writing a book for Mayo Clinic on “Patient Experience” and “Voices of Innovation - Payers”. My podcast “DGTL Voices” is “Top 3%” globally. I am ranked LinkedIn "Top 25 Healthcare Influencers" given my collection of blogs (one million impressions) and contributions via Twitter and YouTube.
Most importantly, I am husband to Simran Marx, who holds a Doctor of Nursing (DNP). We love to dance and climb mountains. I am father to 5 grown children and 4 grandchildren. To stay fit, I captain TeamUSA Triathlon.
My career has been extensive, and I'm still having a blast consulting and speaking within the healthcare space. Click the buttons below to head to my LinkedIn & Twitter to say hello - I'd love to see you there.
